The International E-Learning Awards are given each year for the best work in online learning, in two divisions: Academic and Business/Industry.

Submissions for the 2025 International E-Learning Awards: Business Division are now being accepted through March 15, 2025 and the Academic Division will open on March 31, 2025.

Overview 

The International E-Learning Awards are given each year for the best work in online learning, in two divisions: Academic and Business/Industry. All submissions are evaluated by the IELA Awards Committee, who look for a variety of attributes. These include, among others, educational soundness and effectiveness, user experience, and overall significance.

The Business Division is intended for courses and products created for organizational learning, professional development, and related purposes, and for software tools used to create products for those audiences. The Academic Division is intended for school and university courses and software used in the creation of academic courses.

Winners Announced: June 13, 2025 at The Learning Ideas Conference

Academic Division
Submissions Open: March 31, 2025
Submissions Due: late June, 2025
Winners Announced: late September, 2025 at the ICL Conference

Past Winners

The International E-Learning Awards recognize the best uses of technology to improve learning and job performance within companies or through individual professional development.

Winners of the 2024 International E-Learning Awards, Academic Division were announced at the ICL Conference in Tallinn, Estonia. Winners in the Business Division were announced at the The Learning Ideas Conference in June in New York and online.
